Located in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh, the Puruhutika Devi Temple is situated inside the ancient Kukkuteswara Swamy temple complex. It is the tenth Astadasa Shakti Peeth where Goddess Sati's left hand fell. The deity is carved out of stone in a standing posture. Pithapuram is also highly revered as a Pada Gaya Kshetra, where pilgrims perform ancestral rites at the Gaya Pada pond located inside the temple premises.
